I am an amateur historian, with a passion for local history here in the Annapolis Valley.

Being a squadron historian in the RCAF has very much whetted my appetite for research and the rediscovery of things that have been forgotten over time.

It is amazing that there are so many who live in this historically important province who don’t really care about this incredible place’s story. Several thousand years of native Canadian and 400 years of European habitation  surrounds us, how can anyone ignore it?

So far, I have edited and added significantly to the Squadron history of 415 (Swordfish) Squadron, and am currently working on the wartime history of 404 (Buffalo) Squadron. On top of this I am researching physical history in the Annapolis Valley, and locating and recording crash sites of RCAF aircraft in the Valley (and eventually NS) during the war era.

I only wish this was a full time, paying job 😉
